Returns & Refunds

Because of the Escrow system, refunds are straightforward. But to prevent abuse, Droppie has strict guidelines on when a refund is approved, when an item must be returned, and how return shipping is handled.

On What Basis Do Refunds Happen?

[!IMPORTANT] Delivery fees are refundable before dispatch is placed. After courier pickup/dispatch, delivery fees are non-refundable.

A buyer may be entitled to a refund if:

  1. Wrong Item Delivered: The seller sent a blue shirt instead of a red one.
  2. Item Not As Described: The seller listed a "Brand New" PS5, but sent a heavily used, scratched one.
  3. Damaged Item: The item arrived broken or damaged (and it wasn't disclosed in the listing).
  4. Counterfeit Goods: The item was listed as authentic but is clearly fake.

A buyer is NOT entitled to a refund if:

  • They simply "changed their mind" after receiving the exact item they ordered.
  • The item doesn't fit, but the seller accurately listed the exact measurements and size.

The Return Process

If a buyer receives an item that qualifies for a refund or return, they must raise a Dispute before the auto-release window expires.

  1. Buyer opens a dispute and provides photo evidence.
  2. Droppie Support reviews the dispute evidence and chooses the resolution: refund, return and refund, or rejected.
  3. If the resolution is Return and Refund, Droppie arranges the return dispatch through the logistics provider.
  4. The seller inspects the returned item when it arrives, and the refund is completed according to the dispute outcome.

Who Pays for Return Shipping?

For Return and Refund dispute resolutions, Droppie arranges the return shipment and charges the seller for the return shipping cost.

Once the return and inspection steps are complete, the affected Escrow funds are released back to the buyer's wallet.
