Stockpile & Timeouts

Droppie is all about speed and trust. The Stockpile system ensures that buyers aren't waiting weeks for items they've already paid for, and sellers are paid automatically after delivery if no dispute is raised.

What is the Stockpile?

When a buyer pays for an item, the money enters Escrow, and the item enters the Stockpile phase.

After payment the item is reserved in Stockpile. In normal flow the buyer may request delivery (or pay a delivery fee) and the seller must start/dispatch the delivery (for example, request pickup or mark the item as "Start delivery") within the Stockpile timeframe. If the seller fails to initiate the delivery within this timeout period, the order may be canceled and refunded.

What happens when a seller times out?

If you, as a seller, fail to request delivery before the Stockpile timeout:

  1. The system assumes you cannot fulfill the order.
  2. The order is canceled.
  3. The funds are instantly refunded from Escrow back to the buyer's Wallet.
  4. Your account may receive a penalty strike. Too many strikes, and you will be blocked from selling.

Always state your processing times clearly in your bio. If you need 3 days to make a custom wig, ensure the buyer knows, but you must still operate within Droppie's maximum Stockpile limits!

The Buyer Auto-Release Timeout

The timeout system protects sellers, too!

When the logistics partner reports that a package has been delivered, the buyer can open a dispute if there's a problem. The delivery status itself is provided by the logistics provider; buyers do not need to manually mark the package as delivered for the Escrow flow to continue.

If the buyer does not raise a dispute within the configured dispute window (measured from the logistics provider's delivery event), the system will automatically release the Escrow funds to the seller's Wallet. This timeout protects sellers while still leaving an opportunity for buyers to raise legitimate disputes. Check the in-app order details or contact Support to confirm your region's dispute window length.

Setting Stockpile Periods

Stockpile timing is controlled from your seller settings and collection/drop setup. In the app, you can set your stockpile period in Profile > Edit Profile > Account and choose whether a collection allows stockpile when you create or edit it.

  1. Open Profile > Edit Profile.
  2. Go to the Account tab.
  3. Find Stockpile period and select the duration that matches how quickly you can fulfill orders.
  4. When creating a collection, use the Allow stockpile? option if the item can stay in stockpile instead of being shipped immediately.

Important Caveat

Set a realistic stockpile duration before publishing. If you choose a period that is too short, you may fail to request delivery on time; if you choose one that is too long, buyers wait longer than they should.
