KYC Verification (BVN/NIN)
KYC stands for "Know Your Customer." It’s a standard verification process required by financial regulators to prevent fraud and keep the platform safe for everyone. To create or publish drops, link bank accounts, or withdraw funds on Droppie, you must complete KYC using your BVN (Bank Verification Number) or NIN (National Identity Number).
Don't worry—your data is encrypted and strictly used for identity verification. We do not have access to your bank balance or personal financial records.
How to Verify Your Identity
- Log in to your Droppie app and head to the Create page.
- A prompt will usually appear at the top: "Complete your kyc to create drop." Click it. If it’s not there, 1. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Account > Complete Kyc.
- Choose your preferred verification method: BVN or NIN.
- Enter your 11-digit number accurately.
- Our system will securely cross-reference the name on your Droppie account with the name attached to your BVN/NIN.
- Once verified, you'll receive a success notification, and your account limits will be lifted!
important
Make sure the name on your Droppie account matches the legal name on your BVN or NIN. If there is a mismatch, the verification will fail. If you recently changed your legal name, please contact Support.
