Setting Up Your Shop

Ready to turn your followers into paying customers? Setting up your shop on Droppie takes less than 5 minutes. Let's get you ready to sell.

Step 1: Complete KYC Verification

Before you can legally sell items and receive payouts, you must verify your identity.

  • Go to Profile > Edit profile > Account > Complete KYC and enter your BVN or NIN.
  • (See the full KYC Verification guide for detailed steps).

KYC must be approved before you can receive payouts or link bank accounts. If your verification is still pending or rejected, the platform will block withdrawal and payout features for your account.

Step 2: Add Your Business Address

Riders need to know where to pick up the packages you sell. You must add a valid pickup address to your profile.

  1. Go to Profile > Edit profile > Account.
  2. Select Stock Pickup Address.
  3. Enter your full, accurate address. If you operate from home, this will remain private from buyers—it is only shared with verified logistics partners when a delivery is scheduled.

Step 3: Customize Your Storefront

Make your shop look professional.

  1. Profile Picture: Upload your brand logo or a high-quality picture.
  2. Bio: Write a catchy description. Tell buyers what you sell, your vibe, and useful handling details (e.g., "Custom pieces take 3 days to make").
  3. Connect Instagram: Link your IG to instantly import content. (See Profile & Social Sharing)

Step 4: Review Your Business Policies

While Droppie enforces strict Escrow rules, you should clearly state your specific handling times. Do you ship same-day? Do you need 3 days to craft a custom item? Make sure this is clear in your bio to avoid disputes.

You can also set a stockpile period for inventory (how long you hold items before restocking or releasing them). Configure stockpile settings under your shop settings to control availability windows for restocks and scheduled releases — see Stockpile for details.
