Bank Linking & Withdrawals
This guide explains how to add a bank account, set a default payout, and withdraw funds. Important: bank linking and withdrawals require approved KYC (BVN/NIN) and a set Wallet PIN.
Prerequisites
- Completed and approved KYC verification. (Submission alone is not sufficient.)
- A set 4-digit Wallet PIN on your account.
- A valid local bank account in the currency supported by Droppie.
Adding a Bank Account (Step-by-step)
- Go to Profile > Edit profile > Account > Account Tier Card.
- Tap Add Bank Account.
- Enter:
- Bank name
- Account number
- Tap Proceed. Our system will attempt an instant verification.
Common Errors
- Name mismatch: The account holder name must exactly match your KYC/ID name. If it doesn't, verification will fail.
- Invalid account number: Double-check the digits; banks reject mistyped account numbers.
- Bank unsupported: If your bank isn't in our supported list, try an alternative bank or contact Support.
Setting Default Payout Account
- Go to Profile > Edit profile > Account > Account Tier Card.
- In Bank Accounts dropdown, select one account and tap the radio check box to set as default.
- Future withdrawals will go to this account unless you choose another during withdrawal.
Withdrawing Funds
- Go to the Wallet page.
- Tap Withdraw.
- Choose the bank account and enter the amount.
- Enter your 4-digit Wallet PIN to authorize the transaction.
- Confirm. Withdrawals typically process within minutes but can take up to 24–72 hours depending on bank settlements.
warning
You cannot withdraw funds that are still held in Escrow. Only funds in your Available Balance are withdrawable.
Fees & Limits
- Refer to Commission & Fees for the full structure. Withdrawals may incur a flat transfer fee or currency conversion fee depending on the payout method.
- Large withdrawal requests may be subject to manual review.
Troubleshooting
- Withdrawal failed: Check that your bank account is still valid and not closed; check your KYC approval status; ensure your Wallet PIN is correct.
- Verification pending: Contact Support and provide a screenshot of the bank account details.
